This Year’s Lineup

Line up for Outside Lands 2024

Where Is Outside Lands?

Since its inception in 2008, this celebrated event has made its home in Golden Gate Park, transforming its lush green spaces into a vibrant playground for music enthusiasts from around the world. Nestled among towering eucalyptus trees, Outside Lands offers a one-of-a-kind festival experience that blends nature with music and art. You’ll almost forget you’re in the middle of San Francisco!

Performances are held on the Golden Gate Park Polo Field and in Hellman Hollow, which is located between Sunset Blvd. and 19th Avenue in Golden Gate Park.

How to Get There

Located on the western side of Golden Gate Park, the festival is easily accessible by numerous Muni bus and metro lines. However, driving and parking are not advised, as there is no on-site parking and little to no parking in the local neighborhoods surrounding the park.

To get to Golden Gate Park from downtown SF, take the westbound N Muni train. You can use your Clipper card or buy a ticket at the ticket booths in the stations.

A shuttle is also available from Civic Center for an additional fee. Purchase one of these tickets for a guaranteed ride back downtown to avoid busy trains and long wait times for ride-shares.

Food and Drink

Come hungry and get ready for delicious eats all weekend long! The culinary offerings at Outside Lands are as local as it gets. Find SF favorites all over the festival.

If you’re looking for a chance to try out some of the local breweries and wineries from the area, be sure to check out Wine Lands and Beer Lands. And if you’re in the mood for something a little stronger, Cocktail Magic is the perfect place to unwind with friends over a refreshing cocktail.

Grass Lands

Did you know that Outside Lands was the first major music festival in the US to legally sell cannabis?

Step into Grass Lands, the unique cannabis marketplace at Outside Lands! Since its debut in 2018, Grass Lands has been all about celebrating California's finest cannabis scene. Get ready for a showcase of industry innovation, products, and culture. This highly anticipated space will once again feature the return of sales and consumption of cannabis at the festival. Of course, this experience is for 21+ only.

What to Know Before You Go

  • San Francisco’s evenings can be chilly, so it’s always a good idea to bring a jacket and wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Keep in mind that it can become very crowded during festival days.
  • To avoid any delays, allocate extra time for your journey using public transit. Driving and parking are strongly discouraged.

Where to Stay

There are not many hotels near Golden Gate Park, so staying downtown or in Union Square is the most convenient option. Numerous public transit connections are near hotels in those neighborhoods, making it easy for you to travel to the festival.
